Part 1:  Suino customs post – Ponte Tresa, on foot

Distance: 9,4 km
Time: 2 hours
Vertical distance:  110 m uphill; 230 m downhill

Part 2:  Ponte Tresa – Brusino-Basso Ceresio customs post, by kayak

Distance: 8,4 km
Time: 1 hour 30 minutes

Part 3:  Should have gone further south on foot, but problems with the car battery forced us to go to Chiasso to get a new battery.  Ended up in a hotel in Mendrisio (Albergo Milano).

Note:  Ceresio is the local name for Lake Lugano.
